My love affair with beauty began long before it became my career — it began with Mimi.

As a little girl, I was captivated watching my grandmother at her vanity. Every morning she would sit, unhurried and graceful, reaching for her lipstick — always red, every shade of red, but never anything else — and press it to her lips like a sacred ritual. She was always prim, always elegant, always beautifully put together, whether she was expecting visitors or spending a quiet day at home. And every evening before bed, she would return to that same vanity, gently brushing and stroking her long, beautiful black silk hair before carefully wrapping it for the night.

Mimi taught me that beauty is not vanity. It is self-love. It is intention. It is how you show up for yourself every single day.

That lesson never left me.

Over the past 20 years I have had the privilege of bringing that same feeling to some of the most extraordinary stages in the world — the runways of New York Fashion Week, the set of the NBC Today Show, and campaigns for Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., and the iconic chairs of MAC Cosmetics Global Flagship.

But my greatest joy has always been the most personal moments — a bride on her wedding morning, a woman stepping into a room and owning it completely. That is why I created Beauty by Stephanie NYC — to bring luxury, on-location artistry to the moments that matter most.

Every client deserves to feel like the most beautiful version of themselves. That is my promise to you.
